From a young age, I’ve loved the study of history, geography, and different cultures.  This interest fueled my desire to travel.  Meeting people from different cultures...exploring ancient sites and imagining who was there before me...walking through local markets and fairs...all these things fascinate me.  Together with my wife Sylvia, I have explored many parts of the world both by land and sea.

I found that the small events or experiences during a trip were the ones that created the lasting memories.  A family dinner with old friends at their home south of Rome; a guard staring at me until I put down a small stone I was examining on the ground at the Parthenon in Athens; standing in the middle of an empty bull ring in Barcelona while a retired bull fighter described what it felt like to stare into the eyes of a bull.  I can still feel, taste and remember these moments.

I spent 35 years working as an IT manager for major corporations. Travel was my lifeline to relieve the stress of a very demanding job.  I've always enjoyed sharing my experiences and helping friends plan their vacations.  My friends kept telling me that I would make a great travel consultant.  After years of hearing this, I made some inquiries and joined Ships and Trips Travel in 2004.  My association with Ships and Trips Travel allowed me to fine tune my knowledge of the travel industry and establish relationships with a variety of best-in-class travel vendors.
